Mechanics Defeat Grays, 5-2
The Pittsburgh Mechanics faced a tenacious opponent in Cleveland pitcher Lou Triantos, but still scratched out a win at Euclid Avenue Park by a final score of 5-2 in 12 innings. Triantos went 9 innings and allowed 1 run. Pittsburgh reliever Leo Hills picked up the win to move to 6-4. Frank Howard suffered the loss. Pittsburgh now has a record of 70-70 with the win.

Jasper McNeely drew 1 walk for Pittsburgh. The 33-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Frank Howard. It was his 8th walk of the season.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said McNeely.
