| Brooklyn Earn 4-1 Victory at Pioneer Field | The Brooklyn Kings called upon starter John Taddeo, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the St. Louis Pioneers, 4-1. Floyd Ackers earned the save, his 3rd, for the Kings. Brooklyn is now 18-21, while St. Louis is 18-24.
Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Henry Wilson to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Kings on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"John is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Brooklyn manager Jack Fairchild.
