| Clippers Win, 5-3, Versus Boston | The Boston Minutemen got a sterling performance from pitcher Bill Kelly, but the Baltimore Clippers still prevailed, 5-3. Kelly threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Clippers, now 16-8, have been playing some good baseball.
Baltimore used the hitting of Amos Johnson to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Clippers on top, 5-3. For the game, Johnson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Johnson. | |
