5 Straight Wins for Centurions | The Dallas Centurions picked up a win at Centurions Ballpark, taking down the Seattle Thunderbirds, 4-2. Starting pitcher George Hunter was a big reason why. Hunter went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-9. Dallas has now won 5 games in a row.
Had it not been for Bud Miller, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Centurions were trailing 2-1, Miller hit a 2-run single for Dallas, giving his team the lead.
"We put together a nice win," Miller said. | |
