| Stars Fall to Cannons, 2-1 | New York wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Joe Perez, falling to the Baltimore Cannons, 2-1. Perez threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The Cannons have now won 4 straight.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Cannons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when catcher Dave Pafundi hit a 2-run single. The single came off Joe Perez and made the score 2-0, Cannons. Pafundi went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
Pafundi said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
