Leading the charge for Portland was center fielder Bobby Boone. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Roy Montgomery got the win, improving to 3-5. He held the Conquistadors to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 9. The 5th-place Green Sox have won 5 straight games.
