Fans saw a dandy of a game between the San Francisco Hawks and Seattle Thunderbirds.

The San Francisco Hawks picked up a win at Thunderbird Park, taking down the Seattle Thunderbirds, 4-3. Starting pitcher Mike Milne was a big reason why. Milne went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-5.

Contributing to the San Francisco win was Orlin Yates. In the top of the seventh, the 37-year old center fielder had a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-2, the Hawks in front.

"Winning is contagious," said Yates. "We're looking forward to the next game."

With the win, the Hawks sit at 40-35.
