Conquistadors Suffer 6-3 Setback | The Seattle Thunderbirds picked up a win at Thunderbird Park, taking down the San Diego Conquistadors, 6-3. Starting pitcher Johnny Witt was a big reason why. Seattle reliever Scotty Thomas picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Tommy Anderson was saddled with the loss. Bill Beaudry converted his 5th save in 5 tries.
Seattle took a 6-3 lead on Joe Farley's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Farley hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Diego pitcher Tommy Anderson visibly frustrated.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Witt told the Seattle Observer.
Seattle is now 30-43, San Diego 32-42. | |
