| Keystones Rack Up 4-0 Win Versus Washington | The Philadelphia Keystones went home winners at Broad Street Park, thanks in large part to starter Ray Smith. Smith stifled the Washington Eagles, enabling Philadelphia to grab the 4-0 win. Smith, the winner, moves to 6-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 8 walks. Bob Kohler converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Bob Foust, who leads the FL with a .294 batting average, helped out the Philadelphia cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.
When asked about his performance after the game, Foust said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
The misery never ends for the Eagles, who've lost 10 in a row.
