Dallas starter George Hunter had a strong outing against the San Diego Conquistadors at Langley Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Mac Watters nailed down his 8th save. The 4th-place Centurions raised their record to 31-33.

Dallas used the clutch hitting of Lou Hofmeister to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Centurions the lead, 3-2. For the game, Hofmeister had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Brooks Meeks, the Dallas skipper.
