Werner Koenig converted his 10th save in 11 tries. New York goes to 71-52. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.
Alex Harris was 1 for 4 with a double for New York. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Dale Hovis. It was his 45th RBI of the season.
