| Copperheads Deal New York 3-1 Defeat | Fans of the Atlanta Copperheads who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Atlanta win over the visiting New York Gothams, 3-1. Howie Burt started for the home team against Bunny Mullins. Howie Burt earned accolades for his performance. Burt yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win.
