The Dallas Centurions downed the Houston Bulls, 8-5. The hitting star was second baseman Al Gross. Gross went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Centurions. The 5th-place Centurions go to 28-32.
Rube Finegan dealt the Bulls a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Dallas leading 1-0, Finegan hit a first pitch curveball for a 2-run single.
