Thunderbirds Take Down Knights, 5-4 | The Seattle Thunderbirds wiggled past the Los Angeles Knights, 5-4, at Thunderbird Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Dave Lavallee. At 22-36, the Thunderbirds find themselves in last place in the Great Western League.
The Thunderbirds procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Al Haynes. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Lavallee said, postgame. | |
