Huggett Powers Blues to 7-2 Win
The 3-hit performance of Evan Huggett, who finished 2nd in the UL in home runs with 10 last year, helped the Chicago Blues beat the Detroit Lancers, 7-2. Larry Wurth picked up the win, improving his season record to 17-13. He struck out 3 in 8 innings. The setback makes Detroit 59-61.

With Chicago leading 4-2 in the top of the ninth, Huggett hit a fastball from Red Saalman for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Blues ahead, 7-2.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Huggett told the Chicago Citizen. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
