| Clippers Dump Boston, 3-2, to Win 4th in a Row | Baltimore left-hander Buck Guthrie helped his team edge Boston by the score of 3-2. Guthrie kept the opposing lineup in check. The winner was Guthrie. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Bob Scott. Davey Cronin, who finished 2nd in the CA in saves with 25 in 1967, nailed down the save.
Amos Johnson had a direct impact on the outcome. Johnson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Baltimore up, 3-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Baltimore skipper Hank Luckenbaugh.
