| Chiefs Rally Late to Clip Washington | Washington got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Easton, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chicago Chiefs. Chicago won the Whitney Park contest, 5-4. Easton threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. The victory gives the Chiefs a record of 64-62.
Rich Jarrell was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Chiefs shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Jarrell said.
