| Beacons Win, Downing Beavers, 7-5 | The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Beavers and Boston Beacons get after it.
Boston Beacons starter Tony Kelly found his groove in his team's 7-5 win over the Toronto Beavers. Kelly got the win, improving to 12-7. He gave up 10 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 4 runs.
In the bottom of the third inning of a 0-0 tie, Boston second baseman Don Rogers reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Boston on top, 1-0.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Beacons manager John Milton, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
Boston has 4 straight wins, Toronto 3 straight losses.
