Toronto turned a good effort from starter Lee Humphrey into a win over the Montreal Saints at Dominion Stadium. The final score was 5-2. The Saints fall to 11-14 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1975 season.

George Downing dealt the Saints a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Toronto leading 1-0, Downing, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1966 draft, hit a 1-1 sinker for a 2-run single.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Harry Barrell. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
