Gothams Take Down Miners, 6-4
Conditions were not ideal but New York and Pittsburgh were able to put their game in the books.

The New York Gothams handed the Pittsburgh Miners a 6-4 loss in 10 innings at Fitzpatrick Park. Hank Estill, who finished 4th in the FA in extra base hits with 71 in 1955, was the star on offense. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. New York has a record of 14-16.

Estill had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Stan Davis, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Gothams a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Estill.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Estill.
