Keegan Lifts Bulls to 9-8 Win
The Houston Bulls beat the Portland Green Sox, 9-8, at Bulls Stadium. Houston center fielder Max Keegan had an outstanding performance. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Jim Bob Jones nailed down his 8th save. Houston is now 36-15, 5 games up in the Great Western League.

Houston second baseman Spencer Smail contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a forkball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Bulls ahead, 9-5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Smail told the Houston Chronicle.
