| Gothams Drop 5-1 Decision | The Los Angeles Suns picked up a win at Wilshire Park, topping the New York Gothams, 5-1. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Heinie Schmidt. He played a principal role in the triumph. Schmidt got the win, improving to 4-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Los Angeles, now 17-8, has played well in the early going.
Harry Dellinger chipped in for Los Angeles, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the first baseman was 2-5 with 2 singles.
