| Foust Torches Monarchs for 5 Hits | It was high-fives all around for Bob Foust at Broad Street Park.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Cincinnati Monarchs. Foust smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 5-4 win.
"Bob was hitting everything," said Keystones manager Dusty Morris. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Monarchs manager Jack Schmidt told BNN beat writers that Foust "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Foust oversleeps next time."
Bob Foust singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Foust is batting .336 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs. In 36 games he has scored 24 times. | |
