Brooklyn Kings hurler Bill Austin was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Montreal Saints, shutting them out, 2-0, on 8 hits.

"Bill was very aggressive tonight," Brooklyn manager Tom Leonard said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

Through 9 innings, Austin tallied 2 strikeouts and allowed no walks.

"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Levi Melton said. "Austin has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."

So far this year, Austin has a 14-17 record with a 2.92 ERA.
