| New York Wins, Trumping Pittsburgh, 4-2 | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the New York Stars got the win.
The Pittsburgh Mechanics were defeated, 4-2, by the New York Stars at Cocker Park, even though Charlie Phipps pitched well for Pittsburgh. The win elevated the Stars to 62-46.
New York used a timely hit from Alex Harris to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Harris called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
