Pisani Tosses Shutout Against Chicago
In a seemingly effortless performance, Bill Pisani of the Washington Eagles shot down the Chicago Chiefs, 2-0, on 3 hits.

"Bill was just locating so well and using his pitches," Washington manager Tom Moran said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Pisani recorded 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Chicago manager Willie Cadden said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

In 28 starts this year, Pisani has posted 6 wins while suffering 15 losses. He has pitched 213.1 innings, allowed 187 hits, struck out 91 and has a 2.70 ERA.
