Pittsburgh Beaten, 5-2, by Baltimore
The Baltimore Cannons stopped the Pittsburgh Mechanics, 5-2, at Cocker Park. The Cannons got a big game from Dave Pafundi, who was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jesse Johnson notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 5-4. Baltimore is now 42-60, Pittsburgh 51-51.

Pafundi had a game-changing triple in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 changeup from Casey Edwards, he banged a 2-run triple to right, giving the Cannons a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Pafundi.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Pafundi.
