| Stars Rally to Beat Blues, 6-4 | The New York Stars and Chicago Blues completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The New York Stars defeated the Chicago Blues, 6-4. Doing his part was second baseman Jack McDermott, who was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. New York reliever Werner Koenig picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Larry Wurth was saddled with the loss.
New York used the timely hitting of Joe Allman to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stars on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like our mindset right now," said New York manager Eli Moses.
The Stars lead the Union League by 2½ games.
