| Clayton Struts Stuff in Win Over Cleveland | Baltimore Clippers hurler Homer Clayton was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Cleveland Foresters, shutting them out, 5-0, on 6 hits.
"Homer was very aggressive tonight," Baltimore manager Henry Martin said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
Through 9 innings, Clayton tallied 4 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks.
"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Ned Wiggins said. "Clayton has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
