Starting pitcher Charlie Roberts pitched well enough to help the Boston Minutemen beat the Minneapolis Millers, 4-3. Roberts got the win, improving to 2-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Minneapolis drops to 10-12.

Boston used a well-timed hit by Walter Huckaby to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
