Douglas Throws 4-Hitter En Route to 6-1 Lancers Win
The Detroit Lancers went home winners at Cocker Park, thanks in large part to starter Roy Douglas. Douglas stifled the Pittsburgh Mechanics, enabling Detroit to grab the 6-1 win. Detroit is now 48-50, while Pittsburgh is 50-48.

Douglas, who dominated for Detroit, earned the victory to move to 6-6. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 1. Pittsburgh batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Roy is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Detroit manager Frank McGrath.
