| Atlanta Upended, 4-1, by Boston | Boston Minutemen pitcher Johnny Hall was in top form, leading his team past the Atlanta Copperheads, 4-1. Hall, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Richie Thornton was credited with the save for Boston, his 2nd of the season.
Willie Stephens hit a 2-run double off Curly Anderson in the bottom of the first, which put the Minutemen in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Stephens had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Hall.
