Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Comets
The Houston Comets wiggled past the Washington Eagles, 2-1, at Dalton Domed Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Jay Hunt. Houston pitcher Dutch Lane got the win. He's now 1-0. Ron Campbell was tagged with the loss. Houston now has a record of 16-8.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Houston pinch hitter Milt Rush, facing Ron Campbell, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Comets the 2-1 win.

"The other side played a good game," said Washington manager Joe D'Aprile. "You tip your cap to them."
