| 7 Straight Wins for Kings | The rain came, as predicted, but the Seattle Kings and Kansas City Mavericks were able to complete their ballgame.
Seattle pitcher Gus Tropeano had a large part in his team subduing the Kansas City Mavericks, 6-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Tropeano went the distance for Seattle. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.
Seattle catcher Fred Tollefson helped the Kings go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Tollefson hit a run-scoring single off Kansas City pitcher Orville Johnson.
"We had a nice day," said Seattle skipper Alex Watt.
Seattle, now 15-10, has gotten their season off to a good start. | |
