| Hawks Win, 5-3, at Seattle | San Francisco picked up a win at Thunderbird Park, toppling the Seattle Thunderbirds, 5-3. Pitcher Zeke King was one of the reasons the Hawks triumphed. The winning pitcher was King, now 3-1. He tossed 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. The Thunderbirds fall to 11-19 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Don Long, the 29-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Long contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put San Francisco up, 5-1.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," King said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
