| Suns Deal Minutemen 5-2 Loss | The Los Angeles Suns weathered a fine game by Boston catcher Elmer Saunders to upend the Minutemen, 5-2, at Minuteman Stadium. Saunders was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Suns go to 22-32 with the win.
Grant Davis came through for Los Angeles when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Davis told the Los Angeles Today.
