Centurions Fall Short, 6-5, at Seattle
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Seattle Thunderbirds and Dallas Centurions.

The Dallas Centurions got a superb performance from right fielder Heinie Billings, but the Seattle Thunderbirds still won the game, 6-5. Billings was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Charlie Van Dyke finished the game for Seattle and earned his 2nd save.

In the bottom of the seventh, Seattle first baseman Jim Aban hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 5-4, Thunderbirds.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Seattle manager Harry McCormick.

Seattle goes to 10-14.
