San Diego Conquistadors starter Luis Eireos turned in a sterling performance against the Los Angeles Knights, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Eireos went the distance for San Diego. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. San Diego is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 8th win in 22 games.

With San Diego leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Eireos hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles hurler George Kyle. It was the 3rd hit of the season for Eireos and put his team ahead, 3-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Eireos told the San Diego Today.
