| Gothams Get One-Run Win at Montreal | The New York Gothams did just enough to sneak past the Montreal Saints, 3-2, at Parc Dumfries. New York pitcher Glenn Lantz, in particular, had a standout performance. Mike Goodwin closed it out for his 6th save. The first-place Gothams have won 5 consecutive games.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mike Hartmann? The fan favorite Hartmann stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put New York up, 3-2. For the game, he was 4 for 5, including 1 double and 3 singles.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Lantz.
