Dynamos Score Late to Upend Chiefs, 7-4
The Detroit Dynamos grabbed a win, 7-4, over the Chicago Chiefs at Thompson Field. Detroit second baseman Dick Tucker went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earl Shields was credited with the save for Detroit, his 8th of the season. The victory gives the Dynamos a record of 29-25.

Detroit took the lead, 7-4, on Joe Reed's 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Chicago pitcher Dutch Lane in the bottom of the eighth.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Dynamos manager Verlin Alexander.
