Lantz, Eagles Finish Off Suns, 6-1
Owen Lantz, who is tied for 7th in the FA in innings pitched with 41.2, imposed his will on the Suns from the get-go. Relying mainly on his cutter, the right-hander spearheaded the 6-1 Washington triumph. The Suns fall to 9-14 and continue their lackluster start in 1963.

Lantz, the winner, is now 4-0. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Los Angeles offense.

"I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Lantz.
