The Chicago Cougars easily defeated the Cincinnati Cannons, 12-3, at Cougars Park, with center fielder Henry Watson a main contributor to the win. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs for Chicago. The winner was Roy Ellis, who threw 111 pitches over 7.1 innings. Tom Halliday had a big 2-run double for the Cougars in the bottom of the second inning.
