The Centurions grabbed a win, 2-1, at Bulls Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Dan Rivard. Rivard went 10 innings and allowed 1 run. Howie Edwards earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The defeat makes Houston 2-1.

Dallas used the timely hitting of Cy Braden to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Centurions on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Centurions manager Brooks Meeks. "This one was nice to get."
