Gothams Get Past Baltimore for 5-4 Win
The New York Gothams defeated the Baltimore Clippers, 5-4, in Federal Association action at Patapsco Field. New York pitcher Ray Hooley had a standout performance. New York reliever Herb Isom was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Davey Cronin took the loss. Baltimore is 11-8 after the loss.

New York used the timely hitting of Earl Ferry to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gothams on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We played hard and won," said Hooley. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
