The Atlanta Copperheads and Detroit Dynamos completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Atlanta Copperheads pounded the Detroit Dynamos, 15-0, at Thompson Field. Atlanta right fielder Earl Skains had a game-changing performance. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. The loss drops Detroit to 9-12.

With Atlanta leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Skains came up to bat against Detroit pitcher Johnny Hoskinson. Skains hit a slider to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Copperheads on top, 8-0.

"I have nothing to complain about," said winning manager Don Fox after the game.
