Millers Earn Late 6-5 Win
The Minneapolis Millers clipped the Washington Eagles, 6-5, in 11 innings at Columbia Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Minneapolis pitcher and New York, native Hank Wagner. The save was credited to Joe Pratt, his 1st. The Eagles continue "in the red" at 7-16.

Stu Trott provided a timely hit. The Minneapolis pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the Millers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Washington manager Joe D'Aprile. "The effort was great."
