Suns Collect 8-7 Win Versus Washington | The Los Angeles Suns powered past the Washington Eagles, 8-7, at Columbia Stadium. Gary Romeo went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, to lead the charge. Los Angeles reliever Jerry Patton picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Foster Sherman was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Whitey Stewart, his 6th.
Luke LeDoux aided the Los Angeles cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
