Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Los Angeles Stars and Milwaukee Arrows.

Los Angeles registered a win at Bigsby Stadium by beating the Milwaukee Arrows, 4-3. Pitcher Floyd Warner was one reason why the Stars triumphed. Jackie Thompson picked up the save, his 4th.

Center Fielder Ed Moore made an impact for Los Angeles, when he swatted a bases-clearing triple off Norm Sutherland in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Moore was 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"Bottom line," said Milwaukee skipper Randy Hendrix, "we didn't play well enough to win."

Despite the loss, Milwaukee still owns an impressive 15-6 record.
