The Chicago Blues got a sterling performance from pitcher Larry Wurth, but the Baltimore Cannons still prevailed, 4-3. Wurth threw 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs. Harry Petrie closed it out for his 1st save.
Johnny Brockman contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Baltimore get the win.
"We'll kick back a while," said Brockman, "and then get ready for the next one."
