Turner HR-Happy in 9-5 Win
Wet weather did not postpone the Los Angeles-Washington ballgame.

The performance of Dick Turner proved critical in helping Los Angeles beat Washington, 9-5. The Suns left fielder belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. With the win over Washington, the Suns improved to 19-31.

In the top of the first, Turner had a 3-run home run for Los Angeles. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Suns on top, 3-0.

"I know we have our doubters," said Washington manager Roger Cleaves. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
