Multi-HR Day for Stogner as Arrows Overpower Kings, 9-6
The 9-6 Milwaukee win over Seattle was due largely to Jim Stogner. The Arrows right fielder went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 and driving in 4. Mel Maddox got the win, improving to 4-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Now 15-5, the 1974 Arrows have been sensational so far.

With Milwaukee leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Stogner hit a cutter from Sam Barne for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Arrows ahead, 6-2.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Arrows manager Randy Hendrix. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
