Case Excels, But Wolves Win | Joe Case did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Cannons from being beaten, 9-6, to the Toronto Wolves at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Case belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The Cannons fall to 9-16.
Toronto used the hitting of Ed Savage to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wolves on top, 5-1. For the game, Savage had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Toronto manager Randy Hohlt. | |
