Case Excels, But Wolves Win
Joe Case did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Cannons from being beaten, 9-6, to the Toronto Wolves at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Case belted 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The Cannons fall to 9-16.

Toronto used the hitting of Ed Savage to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wolves on top, 5-1. For the game, Savage had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Toronto manager Randy Hohlt.
