Eagles Win, 6-2, Versus Montreal
The Washington Eagles topped the Montreal Saints, 6-2, in Federal League action at Parc Dumfries. The game was highlighted by the performance of Washington pitcher Bert Behrendt. Washington reliever Bert Behrendt got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Tony Bellomo was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Montreal 19-13.

Washington used the timely hitting of Joe Wilmot to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Eagles on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had a nice day," said Washington skipper Tom Moran.
