Victory Over Clippers Takes Houston to 13-7
The Houston Comets got a marvelous performance from pitcher Spencer Reese. The right-hander kept the Baltimore offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-2 Houston victory at Dalton Domed Stadium. The Comets, now 13-7, have played well so far.

Johnny Adams, who finished 3rd in the FA in stolen bases with 23 in 1966, took Baltimore hurler Johnny Hugot deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Comets on top, 2-1. In all, Adams had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Spencer didn't fool around out there," said Houston field general Glenn Carney.
