The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

In a low-scoring affair between the Montreal Saints and the Cleveland Foresters, pitcher Nate Carr was the difference between victory and defeat. The Montreal right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Saints win. Gene Faulkenberry snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 1.1 innings. He's now 2-2 on the season.

Montreal got a knockout punch from Bill Gilman. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead. "But we decided not to take it."

The win gives Montreal a record of 12-11.
